Nobody Is Motivated By Money

What Would You Give Up For Fame And Fortune?
I was listening to an interview on Sirius Radio the other day. Being interviewed was one of the players from the victorious New Orleans Saints team. Rather predictably the player whose name escapes me, was asked how he felt. Quite honestly I’d love to be in that position just so I could answer something like,
“Not too bad, but I’ve had better weeks and my leg hurts a bit where that 320 lb lineman fell on it. On the other hand, I suppose it was better than shoveling snow….but not much”
I Am The Guinea Pig
John Lennon, famous member of the Beatles, once penned a song called “I Am The Walrus.”
Well, I am neither a famous singer or a famous songwriter, so walrus seems a bit grand for me.
For my next bunch of posts though- I am the guinea pig.
The Real Reason You Aren’t Rich and Happy
I know exactly what is stopping you from living the life of your dreams.
Even though we have probably never have met, I don’t know anything about your life and I don’t spend all day staring into crystal balls whilst cackling manically, I still know.
And the reason I know what it is for you, is because it’s the same thing for everybody. It doesn’t matter what your upbringing was like, what nationality you are, how old you are, whether you are gay or straight, religious or atheist, democrat or republican, Coke or Pepsi, I still know.
Is This Happiness?
I recently spent a few days at the Wynn Encore in Las Vegas. The Encore is a beautiful hotel with every amenity you can imagine and a few more you probably can’t. It’s full of extravagantly wealthy people, and they all seem to have the matching luggage, Channel sunglasses and Gucci accessories to prove it.
Without any doubt a lot of rich people pass through the doors of The Encore on an hourly basis. If I tell you it’s $300 to rent a cabana for the day, $30 to use the gym (yes, even for guests) and draining the mini bar would require half the population to then refinance their home to pay the bill, you will understand what I mean.
