You Don’t Have To Wait
I spoke recently about the need to be patiently unrealistic and to take things easy on yourself as you move toward your Rich and Happy life as success rarely arrives FedEx overnight.
What I didn’t say though was that you will have to wait until you hit middle-age to achieve the life you want to live (unless of course you’re already middle-aged like me, in which case, tough!).
Just Say No!
About two years ago I mentioned on my own website at A Daring Adventure I was looking to take on two new pro bono life coaching clients for people that couldn’t afford it. Little did I know that it would lead to over 50 requests for free coaching from people literally all over the world.
It was tough filtering the applicants and whittling it down to two (which ended up being six over time) as there were lots of great people I knew would really benefit and I wanted to work with.
The Rich and Happy Giveaway Is Lift Off!
If I had any hair I may well have pulled it all out this morning. However, after some technical difficulties our web guy has done us proud and we're finally good to go with the 1,000,000 Giveaway. As of now, because I have made the final affiliate payments, 90% of the proceeds or every sale will be going directly to print the physical versions of How To Be Rich and Happy.
At this stage (and it could well change as we move forward) we have targeted 4 separate groups of people to give the free books to, high school/university age kids, single parent families, unemployed people and homeless people.
Be Patiently Unrealistic
What do you think the single biggest criticism we have received regarding How To Be Rich and Happy is? Take a guess.
Cost maybe, because even though it started off life at $97 for a week or so before we dropped it to $47, it’s still not cheap. How about not providing the formula to being Rich and Happy? That would be a fairly damning indictment if people were telling us that, wouldn’t it? Or maybe it’s boring and doesn’t flow well? That would certainly concern me as I'm sure it would John.
What Would You Give Up For Fame And Fortune?
I was listening to an interview on Sirius Radio the other day. Being interviewed was one of the players from the victorious New Orleans Saints team. Rather predictably the player whose name escapes me, was asked how he felt. Quite honestly I’d love to be in that position just so I could answer something like,
“Not too bad, but I’ve had better weeks and my leg hurts a bit where that 320 lb lineman fell on it. On the other hand, I suppose it was better than shoveling snow….but not much”
Techniques Of The Rich and Happy
I want to tell you about a process today so powerful, so cunning, so life changing and yet so easy to implement, that if it doesn’t blow your mind, you don’t understand it. Not only that, but it's free and is guaranteed to work every single time, if that is, you allow it to.
It’s a process that we speak of in some detail in How To Be Rich and Happy and it is one that in my experience, is used by all Rich and Happy people even if only unconsciously.
7 Reasons Dogs Are Rich and Happy
I was having a conversation with John Strelecky the other day about dogs and in particular, rich and happy dogs. We were thinking ‘How To Be Rich and Happy’ could have been written by one of my dogs quite easily, presuming of course they had bark recognition software for the transcribing process.
Now before you rush to call the men in white coats and tell them to have their very best long sleeved jacket at the ready, let me explain what I mean and offer you 7 reasons that will prove most dogs are indeed rich and happy.
Are You A Jerk?
I was listening to Sirius radio the other day and in particular the NFL channel. I’m a rabid football fan (yes, the American type) and have been for over 25 years. Unfortunately, I’m a Rams fan, so this time of year is usually reserved for studying the draft as the play-offs have long gone.
I was listening to one of the brilliant phone ins and have to confess having a chuckle or two to myself. It seemed all the Dallas fans that had been phoning in the week before to say how they were going to kill the Vikings were phoning in again to say how they felt like killing themselves.
We Need YOUR Help!
Firstly, our apologies for the striking lack of posts recently. Both myself and Tim have taken time off over the holiday period to recharge the batteries and think seriously about the direction we want to take How To Be Rich and Happy. This post and one on Tims site, is the result of our thoughts.
Last week Tim and I met to discuss the long-term strategy of the book. Things have gone well, feedback has blown us away (in a good way) and the book is having the positive impact on people we both intended and hoped for.
Most Holiday Gifts Are Useless – Not These
Most holiday gifts are useless. The vast majority of items don’t get used for more than a month or two and then they are long forgotten. If you think I’m wrong, try putting together a list of five things you received last year and the year before that you’re still benefiting from.
Even gift cards are a bust. 27% of the gift cards gifted last year have never been used.
